Directory helps customers find youSend in info for your free listing List your business, club, church, organization, group, etc. in the San Juan Islander Directory. Make it easy for islanders to discover the services you offer, buy the goods you sell, join your club, participate in your group, volunteer with your organization, worship with your congregation. The more we all know about what is available in the islands, the more we can help each other. You can list the name, address and phone number and a brief description for free. For $12 a month, our BASIC listing includes a longer description, email and web site links. Jump up to the $24 per month ADVANCED listing and you appear higher in your category with your logo, banner ads, longer descriptions...etc. At $48 per month our PREMIUM listing includes the ability to post photos of products, side and top banners, and more. More information is listed in the membership details on the directory. (Current advertisers on San Juan Islander receive a premium listing in the directory at no charge). First we believe there is a need for a centralized source of information. People are already visiting San Juan Islander's Web site so it is the logical spot for such a directory. Our traffic ranking is much higher than other Web sites in the islands. (See chart below.) The easier it is to know what's available right here in the county, the easier it will be to make use of local businesses and services. Secondly, many businesses today operate with just a cell number making it hard to find them. They aren't listed in the regular phone book. And third, in today's economy, we all need all the help we can get.

The name, San Juan Islander, was chosen because there was a newspaper in the 1890s to early 1900s with the same name and we liked the idea of carrying on the tradition a century later. The purpose of this site is to provide accurate, timely news and information from a locally-owned, independent news source which adheres to journalistic standards. It is not part of any corporation. The site is owned solely by Sharon Kivisto. It was created by Sharon Kivisto and Matt Pranger. The original design was done by Rachel Richard. San Juan Islander is the most read news source in the county. It averages more than 5,000 readers a day. The home page has more than 250,000 page impressions each month. Readers from more than 132 countries and all 50 states have visited the site. We appreciate and depend on the support of our advertisers.
