Need someone to take Fido to the vet, pick up a prescription, clean your garage? Call San Juan Concierge at 360.378.7240. Venita Iverson and James Duke offer a long list of personal services from mowing the lawn to planning a party. "We have nothing to sell but service," Iverson said.

The couple bought the personal services business from Denise Anderson last year and have expanded the types of services offered. The couple has done everything from picking up documents from county offices for Seattle law firms to mowing lawns to readying summer homes for their owners. The couple has a variety of pet crates to transport pets to the groomers or the vet.

The list of services offered is long and the couple is dedicated to helping their customers. "Just call and ask," said Iverson. "If we can't do it, we'll do our best to find someone who can." When someone wanted a 600-pound stove moved across a hardwood floor, Iverson put the person in touch with a masonry company that could move the heavy stove.

Party planning and preparation is a favorite of Iverson's. Her love of cooking began at age eight. She has extensive experience in food services and can accommodate large gatherings. Besides the planning and food preparation, she also can provide chafing dishes and other serving supplies.

Prices for services range from $15 an hour for senior companion/sitter services to $25 an hour for personal chef services. The prices for running errands depends on the number of stops. Iverson said prices are flexible.
