At 10 p.m. Saturday night, bagpiper Alex Gislason played "Amazing Grace" as partipants silently walked around the track lit by 630 luminaries. Names of cancer survivors and those who lost their battle with the disease were written on the bags.

Other laps were light-hearted - Poker, Sing out Loud, Silly Hat, 3-legged, pajama lap, etc. By Sunday morning, the teams had donut-eating contests, pizza parties, hula hoop contests, scavanger hunts, and a pancake breakfast.

Deanna Osborn announced the total raised. The goal of doubling last year's $15,000 was "stomped. We squashed it," she said. The 23 teams raised $43,883.81.

The top fund-raising team was the Soroptimists. They raised $6,384. Soroptimist Widget Webert was the second place individual fundraiser with $1,980.

The Rotary/Vineyard team raised $4,980.50. Team member Yvonne Swanberg was the top individual fundraiser with $2,202.50.

The No Names came in third with a total of $3,648.

Robin Scott of CenturyTel was third in individual fundraising. She raised $1,798.
