Fritz the clown (Fred Yockers) entertained island children at the CATS' (Community Arts Theatre Society) annual Teddy Bear Tea Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001. San Juan Community Theatre's Gubelman room was tranformed into a wonderland with scores of teddy bears, kid-sized furniture and a model train. Apple cider and cookies were served. In the lobby Santa listened to the children's wishes.

The San Juan Island Lions Club has donated enough money this year to purchase books to give to each child.
