Check the forecast for August 21

The first total Solar Eclipse visible on the U.S. mainland since 1979  takes place on August 21, 2017. Space.com is tracking the weather and traffic conditions along the 70-mile-wide (113 kilometers) "path of totality," which stretches across 14 states from Oregon to South Caroline.
