4th Olympic Class ferry undergoing sea trials Featured

A fourth new 144-car Olympic-Class ferry, the Suquamish, is undergoing builder sea trials this week. This fall, it will be handed over to Washington State Ferries after finishing touches and crew training. It will  operate on the Mukilteo/Clinton route in the summer and serve as a maintenance relief vessel in the winter, filling in when other vessels are out of service.

WSF will host a public community celebration aboard Suquamish this fall.
