WSF showing continuous signs of decay...
Having lived and traveled, using ferry services here and abroad, for nearly 60 years, the signs of vessel decay give every indication as to why our fleet is in need of overhaul.
The term: "Ship Shape" has obviously been replaced by WSF to include "rust bucket" or "garbage scow." Is there any better indicator of a vessel's overall sea worthiness than to visualize slipshod conditions of crews and their absence of bright work or finery? As a symbol of our State's tourism & economy, a visitor might see our ferry conditions as a reason to avoid travel and investment, seeking a more pristine version of ferry travel to our immediate north.
