Feb. 10-14: Free Days at The Whale Museum

Check out the new exhibits - The History of Endangered Orcas, exploring over 50 years of research on the Southern Resident orcas; The Challenge Wheel that helps raise awareness about the actions you can take to protect the ecosystem - at the Whale Museum. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 10-14, 2018. Audio tours are now available in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and Japanese. Self-guided tour maps are available to help you navigate through the Exhibit Hall. 

The Whale Museum is located in Friday Harbor at 62 First St. N. Founded in 1976, The Whale Museum’s mission is to promote stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education and research. In addition to providing exhibits, the Museum also provides programs including the Marine Naturalist Training, Orca Adoption Program, SeaSound Acoustics Program, Soundwatch, San Juan County Marine Mammal Stranding Network, and the Whale Hotline.
