San Juan Islands Sheriff's Log March 21-27: Sheep and cows on the loose, threats, domestic violence

Deputies in San Juan Islands responded to 193 calls between March 21-27, 2018 including this one: Multiple witnesses saw a female driver exit a car, the male passenger grabbed her by the hair, pulled her back to the car and shoved her in, while hitting her. The witnesses stopped him and separated the two. The female fled on foot. Deputies arrived and arrested the male for assault.

R/P had a incident with 15 dogs being walked by a San Juan Island woman. She did not have an issue with the dogs but was worried about the dogs causing issues with horse riders. Did not wish to pursue issue but wanted the dog walker to be reminded to keep better control of the dogs. Dog walker was called and message left.

A deputy was dispatched to a two Vehicle Traffic Accident in Friday Harbor. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the persons involved. Infraction issued to one of the driver's for Failing to Drive on the Right Side of the Roadway.

Argyle Avenue was closed to through traffic as emergency crews responded to a two-car crash Tuesday afternoon, March 27, 2018. According to a San Juan County Sheriff deputy no one was injured in the collision on Argyle between Malcolm and Johns Streets. The Chevy sedan's airbags were deployed during the crash with the Ford Expedition.
