CenturyLink restoration efforts on the barge are temporally suspended due to inclement weather and 40 knot winds.
First the bad news: Even though CenturyLink has two specially equipped barges, dive crews and underwater robotic cameras deployed to the waters between Lopez and San Juan Islands, it has not yet located the break in the underwater fiber-optical cable that severed voice and much data service between San Juan County and the mainland nearly a week ago.

At least one CenturyLink customer has received emails asking for his username and password. He thought that maybe with the outage it was legitimate but before responding he immediately called Century Link. CenturyLink said they were not sending out requests and would never do so.
