Horoscopes by Triana May 7-13: Mercury and Mars Finish Argument, Finally! Featured

This week brings an ending, and it’s the final round of the nasty alignment between Mercury in Aries and Mars in Capricorn. The basic attitude between these two has been, “Do it!” “I can’t!” Mercury is not a patient planet and Aries is not a patient sign; Mars is the Ruler of Aries and he’s bogged down in Capricorn which he really doesn’t like, so he’s grumpy. The attitude of this pair becomes personal for each of us because these are personal planets. The grumpiness has been amplified by other planets and has pretty much driven many to their wit’s end, but take heart! It’s finished over the weekend! This is the finish line where we make it or break it, so see how this last hurrah will affect you.

Also, I’d like to remind you to read both your sun and rising sign each week for a better perspective. Your rising sign is determined by your date, time and town of birth and indicates how the world sees you and sets your self-image.

Wishing you all a triumphant week and keep looking after each other!

Aries (March 21- April 19):  Aries (March 21- April 19): Mercury in your sign gets into a snafu with Mars in your sector of Career/Ultimate Potential at midweek. You may have an argument in the workplace or a misplaced communication that spins quickly into an escalated microdrama. This is a quick but strong transit and it appears to be a power struggle type of thing, so be prepared. Other than that, Jupiter in your sector of Shared Assets is running retrograde and this is pushing you into a downsizing trend. You love your bling and you love your stuff and keep it forever but after a while and more than one stubbed toe on that thing you’ve had since you were twelve, you call it a day and declutter. This is good because you can make room for the new stuff to come!

Taurus (April 20 – May 20):  You have a busy time right now, most likely due to a move of one type or another. There may be financial stress right now that prompts arguments or angst, but this is felt more toward Thursday through the weekend. This will be a good week to get really creative about how you use what you have. Think of it this way: in England, a proper table setting has three forks (one for fish, one for salad, one for main course), three knives (one for butter, one for cutting, one for something else I can’t remember), three spoons (a tea spoon, a table spoon and a soup spoon), three plates (bread, salad, main) and three glasses for different types of wine. Really, now! Who needs all that? We’re not royalty so we can get away with just about everything and eat with our hands! No, you don’t have to be a minimalist, but finding different uses for common things lessens the temptation to spend money on something you don’t need.

Gemini (May 21- June 20):  This week has a kind of odd twist to it; Venus in your sign isn’t connected to any other planets right now and this leaves you feeling rather single, even if you’re in a relationship and/or surrounded by other people. Your sectors of Friends/Goals and Shared Assets are at odds with each other, so if you are engaged in any activity or work that depends on others, you may find that not everyone is on the team in the way you expect. Since all this is at close range it looks like you may be soon to embark on something on your own; this is scary because you prefer to do stuff with others. You’re very much a herd animal. Listen to the wind and hear what’s really there, not just what you want to hear. This way you can make the necessary adjustments with accuracy.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Mars in your sector of Relationships is at odds with Mercury in your sector of Career/Ultimate Potential. Since this particular alignment is coming to an end, it is at its strongest. You may have to make a choice or maybe a choice will be made for you this week. Either way, do you best to walk away with a prize and your dignity intact. What’s helping you a lot is Jupiter in your sector of Creative Expression, and he’s in a lovely alignment with Neptune. This gives you a chance to expound on your dreams and take action on them; you’ll find your way there because you’re not one to give up. Look at this week as exercise and something that gets you in better shape for the near future.

Leo (July 23-August 22):  A week of twists and turns for you, Noble One. On the one hand, you have Mercury in your sector of Expansion in a nasty argument with Mars in your sector of Work/Health. With Mars in the sign of taskmaster Capricorn (where he’s not happy anyway), the pressure exerted will be pretty strong but your saving grace is luck bringing Jupiter in your sector of Home in a lovely alignment with Neptune in your sector of Shared Assets. This is keeping your mind focused on your goal or dream for your next step; now it has to be actualized, and once this Mars/Mercury snafu has ended at the weekend you’ll feel lighter and more centered. It’s all doable as long as you don’t think you’re in total control. Listen to the hints and you’ll find the guidebook..

VIrgo (August 23-September 21):  Mars and Mercury are at the height of their argument this week; Mars wants to push unreasonable discipline for no good reason and Mercury wants to say, “Why should I?!” This is rather like a rebellious and headstrong teen trying to assert their will over that of their parents and no one wins, really. If you can accept that there are no winners in certain situations, you’ll be ahead should snarkiness come your way. Jupiter in your sector of Thinking/Communicating is encouraging you to expound on a dream or goal due to the influence of Neptune in your sector of Relationships. Be careful with this pair because they’re out for a party that may not be entirely good for you although aspects of it will be pleasing. You can pick and choose. Remember that.

Libra (September 22 – October 23): Mercury and Mars are going to have a snarky encounter later this week and it will manifest in your sectors of Relationships and Home, respectively. This will be the peak of the tension, then it will pass. If you’re under pressure or if your relationship is falling apart, this will be the time to sink or swim, both of you. As you well know, it takes two to tango but also know that a relationship is only as strong as its weakest partner. All too often we can’t change those around us and superficial changes made to gain the prize don’t last. This isn’t to say the week is going to be terrible, because it isn’t. This is just a heads up that whatever conflict you may be in now will be resolved over the weekend.

Scorpio (October 24 – November 22): Jupiter and Neptune are working to bring you your dreams, the culmination of everything you’ve worked hard for. You’ve never been one to sit by and wait for things to come to you; by hook or by crook or by stealth, you get what you want in a quiet and mysterious way because it’s your nature. The quirk of the week is a snafu between Mercury and Mars in your sectors of Work/Health and Thinking/Communication, respectively. Since this is the second alignment of this type between these two, you’ll be able to put something to rest once and for all. Once you’ve dusted your hands off, go get ice cream.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 20): The Sun’s position helps ease the pressure of Mars’ position in your sector of Finances and his argument with Mercury in your sector of Creative Expression. This is good! If you can mentally change gears and free yourself up, anything is possible. It’s the nature of your sign to be free and independent. Be careful though because the Mercury/Mars conflict is at close range and may be intense so choose your words carefully all week around people that are on edge. This alignment will finish over the weekend so you won’t have to be subdued forever; in fact you may have good reason to party this weekend!

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20):  The conflict I’ve been discussing reaches its peak later this week as the conflict between Mercury and Mars in your sectors of Home and Self, respectively, reaches its peak then passes. After that you’re pretty much in the clear. The Sun in amicable Taurus (a fellow Earth sign) brings stability and resolve to the situation and likely even some dark humor. Jupiter and Neptune are up there encouraging you to be nurtured by your friends and enjoy some adult beverages and laughter. All in all, a good week with some speed bumps, then you’ll have the upper hand.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 20):  This week brings the last of the Mercury/Mars arguments, thankfully! These two have been at it for a while, but the last hurrah is late in the week and will touch your sectors of Endings/New Beginnings and Thinking/Communicating, respectively. Be careful with your words, because this is the peak of personal discomfort and at the end of an aspect is the most intense. Plan something good for the weekend, because you will likely have something to celebrate! Being the consummate humanitarian, sometimes you overreach yourself with the best of intentions but now is the time to take a step back, dodge the Mercury/Mars bullets and turn your attention to what’s working..

Pisces (February 21 – March 20):  This week brings the last of the conflicts between Mercury and Mars, thankfully! Your sectors of Finances and Friends/Goals will untangle once this snarky alignment has finished and you’ll be able to really feel the sun! One really nice thing you have going for you is Jupiter in your sector of Expansion and your Ruler Neptune singing in two-part harmony. This gives you a sense of the big picture and a feeling that everything is going to be okay so that the up close nagging icky stuff doesn’t really get to you. Lucky you! You’ll be the champion of letting stuff roll off this week because of your general sense of well being..
