Trina Dannielle Terry

January 17, 1963 – Nov. 23, 2007

Trina Dannielle Terry of San Juan Island born on January 17th, 1963 in Walnut Creek, California, passed away on November 23rd in Seattle, Washington. Before arriving on San Juan Island, Trina studied accounting, lived and raised her children in Portland, Oregon. For the past fourteen years Trina was an essential employee at Roche Harbor Resort. Trina had worked her way up from housekeeping to become the Accounting Manager of Roche Harbor.

Trina was a loving mother and a precious daughter. To all who knew Trina knew of a kind gracious woman and true friend. Trina's selflessness and heavy heart was seen by all. Trina had a stubborn side that only added to her charm. She would not hesitate to help someone in need, yet she herself would never ask for such help. She will be "oh so terribly missed by all."

Trina is survived by her mother Barbara Terry and three children, eldest son Bryan Goss, daughter Jessye Terry, and youngest Zachary Hays of San Juan Island.

A memorial service is planned at Roche Harbor’s Pavilion on December 9th at 2 p.m.

We understand death for the first time
when he puts his hand upon
one whom we love.

-Madame de Stael

A hand shake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring

We are all a part of everything

The future, present and the past

Fly on proud bird

You're free at last

-Ronne Van Zandt
(Band Lynard Skynard)

Tell me not,
in mournful numbers,

Life is but an empty dream!

For the soul is dead
that slumbers

and things are not what they seem.

Life is real!

Life is earnest!

And the grave is not its goal;

Dust thou Art;
to dust returnest,
was not spoken of the soul.

-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
