Friday Harbor finished Northwest 1A/2B League softball action with a 17-7 clobbering of La Conner Tuesday, May 6. The league-champion Wolverines host Lynden Christian Wednesday, May 7.

Friday Harbor softball team conquers Coupeville, secures home playoff game

Hannah Starr hit 3-for-4 and Kelsie Carlton went 3-for-5 as the Friday Harbor softball team conquered Coupeville 14-7 in non-league softball action Saturday, May 3. The victory means the Wolverines will host a home, Tri-District Tournament play-in game Friday, May 9 against the Wolves, if necessary.

"It was a huge win for us if we have to play that playoff game," said Friday Harbor coach Kevin Carlton.

Friday Harbor finishes league action at home against La Conner at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6. Lynden Christian travels to Friday Harbor for a non-league game at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7. If the Wolverines lose to the Lyncs, they will host Coupeville Friday.

Kiersten Radden hit 2-for-4 for the Wolverines.
