Friday Harbor volleyball team's surge falls short at Shoreline
Friday Harbor's volleyball team rallied from two games down at Shoreline Christian Tuesday, Sept. 18 but came up short in the fifth game. The Crusaders won the first two games 25-17, 25-21. The Wolverines tied the match 25-22, 25-22 before being edged in the final game 15-8.
Meagan McCormick led the Wolverine net attack with 9 kills. Maddy Anderson had 7 kills and Kelsey Barnes chipped in 4.
Ashley Grone served 100 percent for Friday Harbor with an ace.
Wolverine spikers overcome Hurricanes 3-1
Friday Harbor's volleyball team used strong serving to defeat Mount Vernon Christian 3-1 Thursday, Sept. 27. The Wolverines won the first game 25-14. The Hurricanes eked out a 25-23 victory in the second game but the Wolverines rebounded for 25-13 and 25-20 game wins.
Trojans gain net win over Wolverines
Meridian beat Friday Harbor 25-18, 25-13, 25-6 in non-league volleyball action Sept. 29.
