April 22: Free Day at State Parks

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission invites the public to celebrate Spring and Earth Day with two free days - April 15 and 22 - at state parks in April. On free days, visitors don't need a Discover Pass for day-use visits by vehicle. State parks in San Juan County include Lime Kiln Point State Park on San Juan Island; Moran State Park on Orcas Island and Spencer Spit on Lopez Island. 

The remaining 2017 State Parks free days are:

Saturday, April 15 - Spring free day

Saturday, April 22 - Earth Day

Saturday, June 3 - National Trails Day

Saturday, June 10 - National Get Outdoors Day

Friday, August 25 - National Park Service 101st Birthday

Saturday, September 30 - National Public Lands Day

Saturday, November 11 - Veterans Day

Friday, November 24 - Autumn free day
