In addition to the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program (SNAP), there are local food resources available for those in need in San Juan County. 

FOOD BANKS: 

Friday Harbor Food Bank in addition to its open hours on Wednesday and Saturday, the food bank also has an online ordering service with pickup on Thursdays. 

Orcas Island Food Bank located at 116 Madrona Street in Eastsound, next to the Orcas Island Community Church. It is open Tuesdays and Fridays with home deliveries on Thursday. (Photo of Orcas Island Food Bank)

Food Bank at Lopez Island Family Resource Center distributes free food to those in need. Also offers online ordering, which opens from Monday 5pm to Tuesday 5pm every week.

Shaw Island does not have a food bank but home-delivered meals are available twice a week. Call the San Juan County Senior Services Office at 360-468-2421 to arrange delivery. 

Nourish to Flourish is a non-profit that started meeting in 2018 with the goal of developing initiatives to end hunger on San Juan Island. Their website lists organizations that provide help.
