School’s Out Program Leader: This is a seasonal position working Mon-Fri approximately 3.5 hours daily at Island Rec’s STAR after-school program, and 8 hours per day during school breaks throughout the public school year. This position works under the direct supervision of the School’s Out Recreation Specialist and is responsible for leading a safe and enriching program for children in grades K-5 that promotes recreational and social skill development. Meals on Wheels and More is looking for a P/T Cook (24-28hrs a week) at the Mullis Senior Center. Approximately 8-4pm Monday Wednesday and Friday. This position is responsible for the production, serving and clean-up of 75-100+ Senior Meals 2 days per week at the Mullis Senior Center. Wage $16.50-19.50/hr DOE

Our ideal candidate will possess:

Ability to work independently.

2+ Years of culinary experience (high volume or institutional preferred).

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with, employees, management, volunteers and participants, and senior center personnel.

Knowledge of cooking techniques and safe operation of all kitchen equipment.

Ability to follow a standardized recipes and monthly menus.

Ability to prepare a meal from scratch for up to 100+.

Strong organizational skills and ability to execute job tasks in a specified time.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Culinary Training Preferred.

Current Washington State food worker card.

Requires prolonged standing as well as stooping, bending and reaching.
