After weeks of searching for housing, I'm hoping the good people of SJI can help my partner and I find a long-term rental on San Juan Island. We're relocating from Cape Cod next month because I got a job as San Juan County's Marine Mammal Stranding Network Coordinator (in association with The Whale Museum & FHL) and my partner will be working as an EMT on-island. We are by no means new to the island, we've spent the last 3 years there and left due to relocation. We plan to be on the island for at least a couple years so we're interested in a long-term rental. We're more than comfortable with "unique" housing opportunities (tiny houses, boats, cabins, etc.) and are happy to live in small spaces!
