The Wolverines 2024 season came to a close Saturday with a 62-0 at Okanogan in the first round of the state playoffs. The team finished with a 5-6 record.
Yes, it was a tad one-sided game, but Okanogan is an outstanding team and Friday Harbor was by no means the only squad the Bulldogs humbled. Eight of their first 10 scores – 55-6, 61-0, 57-7,
62-0, 58-7, 48-7, 78-8 and 78-9. Their closest contest was a 36-22 win on the road at 1A Lynden Christian.

* Ouch. The 62-point loss Saturday was the largest loss margin in the program’s history. The previous record was 57 (57-0 to Orcas Island in 1978 and 64-7 to Meridian in 2010).
