IOSA letter to community about fundraising opportunity

Dearest Community,
So this happened and we’re still kind of amazed by it: someone in our community stepped up with a $20,000 gift to IOSA. No conditions. Just real belief in our work.
We looked at that and knew we had to rise to meet it as an organization. So we challenged ourselves to match it. That’s the summer project now, raise another $20,000 by end of August.
We’ve raised $4,622.20 thus far, and roughly 154 people giving $100 gets us to our goal. Less if you can do more, or whatever you’ve got, it all stacks up.
If you value the gap we fill in local spill response, if you value that we show up fast when something spills into our waters, and if you believe neighbors showing up for neighbors is worth funding… this is your opportunity to help.
As most of you know, we became a 501c3, and we’re working hard to build toward hiring a development staff member who can take IOSA into a new realm of sustainability. Our community is worth it, and so is our environment.
Whoever you are, thank you for trusting us with this. We’re not going to waste it.
