The Lopez Island community is rallying to help a young family who lost their home to a fire. Grace and Wolf Armstrong took their baby on a trip to San Juan Island, only to return to see their home covered in ash. The cause of the fire is unknown, but possibly electrical.

As of October 7, 2025 more than $8,000 has been raised through GoFundMe to help them recover. Here is the fundraiser link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-grace-and-wolf-armstrong-rebuild-their-home
