Learn how to turn low-value branches and twigs into valuable biochar at the Biochar 101 workshop Saturday, May 6 at Doran Farm on San Juan Island. Biochar, made from woody biomass, stores carbon and improves soil. Woodland owners can remove excess wood from dense forests and generate income.
