Kaleetan slowly headed our way; Yakima going in for repairs Featured

Washington State Ferries Yakima has been sailing slowly with a damaged prop for weeks. It is scheduled to finally get into a maintenance facility July 30.

It will be replaced by the Kaleetan which is coming out of a maintenance period at Eagle Harbor and still has a couple of issues that need work. The Kaleetan is scheduled to leave Eagle Harbor late Monday morning July 30 for Anacortes.

WSF crews will continue working on the Kaleetan on its trip north. While the work is done, the vessel will be traveling at half power. It is expected to be back on full power Tuesday morning.

Didn't the prop on the Yakima get damaged back on April 22, 2018? That's months, not weeks.
