Peak season surcharge ends Sept. 30; new fares in effect October 1 Featured

The peak season surcharge for Washington State Ferries (WSF) fares ends on September 30.

On Tuesday, October 1, single vehicle fares will return to their non-peak rates. Passenger fares and multi-ride products are not affected by the peak season changes. Also on October 1, general fare increases and policy changes will take effect.

Changes include:

2.5 percent fare increase for all vehicles

An additional 5 percent fare increase for oversize vehicles on the Anacortes/ Sidney B.C. route

2 percent fare increase for passengers

The time in which transfers can be made on the San Juan Islands Inter-island ferry is valid through the end of the service day it was issued

To view the current fares, and those going into effect on October 1, please visit the WSF Fare Information Page.

And remember the proposed increase in the 'no show' fee for reservations does NOT start October 1. Read more here.
