Deputy injured when arresting disorderly person on inter island ferry

A San Juan Island deputy was injured during an arrest of a disorderly subject on the interisland ferry Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

The incident started when the rowdy person was contacted by the deputy. No crime was found to have been committed.

The man then urinated on the deck and assaulted a ferry worker.

The deputy arrested the man and he was booked into jail in Friday Harbor.
