UPDATE: San Juan County Levy lid lift ahead by 42 votes; about 1,200 left to count

Approval of the  San Juan County levy lid lift is now  ahead by 42 votes 2,991 to 2,949 in the November 5, 2019 election. According to  a PDF of the results on the county's website.  6,347 votes were counted as of Thursday, November 7.

There are 13,718 registered voters in the county. There are still about 1,200 ballots left to count. RESULTS

Many of the races only  had one candidate. Three races have tight results as of Thursday:  

Port of Orcas Island Commission position No. 1: Clyde Duke has 886 votes and PIerrette Guimond has 869.

Port of Orcas Island Commission position No. 5: Mia Kartiganer has 913 and Greg Ayers has 844.

Eastsound Sewer and Water Commission: Terrence Mullan has 295 votes and Edwin Sutton has 275.

Once all the ballots are counted, the Canvass Board will meet to deal with any questionable ballots. The results aren't finalized until the election is certified later in November.
