June 7-9: Special filing period for three elected offices in San Juan County
SAN JUAN COUNTY, WA. May 23, 2023 – San Juan County's Elections Office is opening a special three-day filing period in June for those offices where no candidates filed during the regular candidate filing week. The special three-day filing period will be held in accordance with RCW 29A.24.181 only for the offices listed below.
Candidate filings can be made in person or by mail starting Wednesday, June 7 at 8:00 AM until Friday, June 9 at 4:30 PM. Online candidate filings will be accepted starting Wednesday, June 7 at 9:00 AM until Friday, June 9 at 4:00 PM. If there is still a void in candidacy after the special three-day filing period, the office will not appear on the November 7, 2023, General Election ballot.
