Flood hazard ordinance, loan request from Orcas PHD on council's June 12 agenda

San Juan County Council will hold a public hearing to adopt a Flood Hazard Ordinance at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the Legislative Building at 55 Second Street in Friday Harbor.

Also on the meeting's agenda are discussions about a proposed sign code revision, a resolution adopting the Haven Road pedestrian improvements, a loan request from Orcas Island Hospital District, adding a full-time employee to the county facilities department, and possibly changing the Fair Board ordinance regarding membership.

The council plans to appoint Jenny De Groot, Vicki Heater, Paul Kamin, Kyle Loring, Judy Meyer, Robert Naiman, Gary Sale, Laura Jo Severson and Kimbal Sundberg to the Clean Water Advisory Committee; David Kau to Eastsound Design Review Subcommittee; and appoint Sandi Friel to Land Bank Commission.
