New Sheriff's boat can transport multiple patients for EMS

The new San Juan County Sheriff's Office Boat, assigned to District 1-San Juan Island, is a much-needed upgrade over the older, less functional boat. This Life Proof boat offers more maneuverability for law enforcement needs and also has the ability to transport multiple patients when assisting EMS and Fire partners.

Sheriff Eric Peter says, "This is a wonderful asset for the Sheriff's Office, for our community, and will help us better serve all of our community members."

He thanked Chief Civil Deputy Kim Ott for coordinating the grant funding to assist with the purchase of this boat and to Sergeant Zac Reimer for coordinating with Fleet Services to get the old boat auctioned off. Reimer workied with the manufacturer to design this new asset.
