Gov. Jay Inslee will visit Skagit County and San Juan County Tuesday, May 28 to discuss broadband connectivity, infrastructure and needs. He will participate in a telemedicine demonstration and attend community broadband meetings.
Inslee recently signed a bill that will create both a statewide broadband office and a grant and loan program that will help communities across the state construct and install broadband services. The governor rolled out his broadband proposal earlier this year.
