Town of Friday Harbor seeking applicants for open position on town's Arts Commission

The Town of Friday Harbor is accepting applications for an open position on the Friday Harbor Arts Commission (FHAC).  The appointed member will serve through December 2025.  Commissioners are volunteers who consider the interests of the Town Council, community, and local artists when advising the Town Council on the selection and placement of public art.  Meetings are held at 3:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month.

Interested parties with experience, background, or involvement with visual, performing, or literary arts are asked to submit an application, letter of interest, and, if applicable, examples of their art or experience. Application forms and FHAC Guidelines are posted on the FHAC page at the Town website:  www.fridayharbor.org.  Application review will continue until the position is filled.

The FHAC was formed in February 2015 with the appointment of eight commissioners, including one youth member.  Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month.
