San Juan Islands Sheriff's Log Feb. 16-22, 2022: Weary cow, delivery vs house crash, illegal fire in parking lot, DUIs,

San Juan County Deputies responded to 146 calls from February 16-22, 2022 including: A Lopez Deputy responded to a cow that had escaped from its pasture. The cow was unable to walk itself home, being sick, old, and having unhealthy rear legs. Per the owner's request, the cow was put down to rest. Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of illegal burning in a parking lot. The person was located and the fire was extinguished. A new employee at the Family Resource Center mistakenly pressed the panic alarm button while learning about the building. They now know where it is located and its function.
