San Juan County Deputies responded to 277 calls from July 20-26, 2022 including: A San Juan Island Deputy responded to a report of trespassing. The subject drew a knife and the responding deputy retreated to await backup. The subject was later arrested for trespass 1st degree, obstructing and weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm. A deputy was dispatched to a Traffic Accident in the San Juan Island area. The deputy arrived and located a golf cart in the water. The driver was treated for minor injuries. A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a vehicle that had been abandoned at a local business with the engine running for hours. No law violations had occurred, even though it is a strange situation. The business was willing to tow the vehicle. A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a trespassing call. A Lopez individual gave a friend a vehicle based on a verbal agreement. They did not transfer the title. Years later, the friend unexpectedly returned the vehicle to the owner's property in poor condition. A report was taken. A Lopez Island Deputy responded to an assault call. A frustrated Lopez citizen slapped a Public Works employee on the shoulder after Public Works accidentally cut down a tree that crushed the citizen's mailbox.

Lopez Deputy responded to an animal problem call. A small, pudgy bulldog was found chasing after a neighbor's goats. The dog was returned to the owner, who was issued a dog at large warning letter. No goats were harmed during the incident.
