San Juan County Deputies responded to 109 calls from November 30 to December 6, 2022 including: A San Juan Island deputy responded to a report of threats. A student had been struck by another and advised they had a knife that was later seized by faculty. The school enacted safety protocols regarding the incident and the deputy contacted those involved. This case is still under investigation. A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a suspicious call. A concerned Lopez parent reported that their child was being followed and offered a ride home multiple times by an older man that they did not recognize. A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to an animal problem. A dog attacked another dog unprovoked. The victim did not want to pursue criminal action, the case documented for potentially dangerous dog review.A deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a citizen assist. The reporting party was concerned about people being interfering with her at her work and her home. A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a theft. A citizen reported 40 to 50 of their knitted Hedgehogs were taken from the Holiday Market.
