San Juan Island Sheriff's Log May 15-21: Nonconsensual bumper stickers, bar fight, dog kills ducks, jewelry and medication stolen

San Juan County Deputies responded to 138 calls from May 15-21, 2024 including: A Lopez Deputy received a report of an individual putting inappropriate nonconsensual bumper stickers on another person's vehicle in a ferry line. Washington State Patrol and Anacortes PD responded and gave a strict warning to the bumper sticker culprit. A San Juan deputy responded to a report of a bar fight. The victim was saved from serious injury by an employee. This investigation is ongoing. A deputy responded to a report of two loose dogs that chased and killed several ducks on another property. The owners of the dogs were identified. The owners of the ducks and dogs agreed to handle the situation in a civil manner. A deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. It was reported that medication had been taken from a secured location.
