Jenny Rice is being honored by the 11th Annual Julia Margaret Cameron Photography Award for Women Photographers with four honorable mentions and as a finalist in two other categories. The honorable mentions are in Nude and Figure, Open Theme, People (photo posted above), and Self-Portrait. The talented San Juan Island resident was a finalist in Documentary and Reportage, and Nature categories.
Her work will be exhibited at the Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography in Barcelona in October.
To put together the funds to travel to Barcelona by October 1, 2018, Rice is offering portrait photography for a locals-only price of $200 per session. Price increases depending on the number of people, non-locals and/or subject matter.
She can photograph adults, children, animals, a combination of multiple themes, as well as nude figure. She is now offering male nude figure photography and couples nude figure photography. Poetic portraits (poetry written for you, inspired by you), signed prints, and group/family photography is available, too.
A selection of her Portraits in Nature are on display at Gallery Mystes Rising upstairs at Cannery Landing in Friday Harbor.
