$2K record set at Lions shopping spree at King's Market

In 2017, Shahn McGuire set a new record for the  amount of groceries scooped up in the four-minute San Juan Island Lions Club shopping spree at Kings Market in Friday Harbor. She gathered $1,077 worth of groceries. She gave all the food - with the exception of a couple of high end chocolate bars - to the Friday Harbor Food Bank.

Turns out that spree was just a warm up. McGuire had the winning raffle ticket again in 2018. Drawing on her experience, she almost doubled the total amount of groceries. At the end of the four minutes, she had scooped up $2,007 of groceries. And once again, the food is headed to the Food Bank.
