My War exhibit at San Juan Islands Museum of Art closes soon

The first showing on the West Coast of MY WAR; Wartime Photographs by Vietnam Veterans photography exhibit closes soon. The exhibit at San Juan Islands Museum of Art in Friday Harbor runs through June 3, 2019.

MY WAR: Wartime Photographs by Vietnam Veterans, is a national touring exhibit telling the stories of regular soldiers lives in their own words and photographs. Additionally, there is an exhibit of photographs, artifacts and stories of Vietnam veterans of San Juan County titled A War Never Ends.

US Military Veterans are admitted free to this exhibition.

Also closing is Traces an art installation by Mary Coss exploring cultural inheritance, the ties that bind and giving voice to her female lineage.

SJIMA is located at 540 Spring Street in Friday Harbor, WA and is open Friday-Monday from 11-5. Mondays are Pay as you can Days. Regular admission is $10 with museum members, veterans and those 18 and under admitted free of charge. For more information go to
