Girl Scout cookies on sale next month from Troop 46485
Girl Scout Troop 46485 from Orcas Island will be selling the famous cookies next month on Orcas Island, Friday Harbor, Mount Vernon and Oak Harbor. The annual cookie sale is the troop's primary fundraiser for the year.
Last year the troop used the earnings to help pay for camping trips, art supplies, craft supplies, costs of doing a robotics unit. The scouts also picked up trash, visited the animal shelter and adopted a whale from The Whale Museum.
Beach cleanups, crafts and adventures in camping and backpacking are planned for this year.
An "Independent" scout from Lopez Island will also be participating.
