Bruce Hansen passed away on July 5, 2019. He would want everyone to:
honor your commitments;
pay your bills on time;
practice random acts of kindness*; and
remember what Thumper Rabbit’s mother said, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothin’ at all.”
Bruce’s wife Francie is looking forward to hearing your remembrances at a special “Walk Bruce’s Path” gathering, which will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, at 45 Inverness Lane (off False Bay Road). Please park in designated areas only, and wear comfortable shoes.
An individual wishing to honor Bruce’s memory is encouraged to make a donation to the charity of his/her choice.

I grew up across the street from Bruce and Francie in Newport Beach - Bruce would take me (and sometimes several of my friends) sailing with him. He would have sandwiches and beverages for us and let us enjoy the beauty of sailing off the California coast. He would drag a rope behind the boat and we would all hold on and be towed behind the silent sailboat and revel in the grandeur and peace of the ocean.Report
After we were done, we would repeatedly offer to help clean up and he wouldn't let us - he was just happy to have blessed a bunch of kids with a really good time. That was who he was and I will always appreciate his kindness and generosity and cherish those memories that he made possible.
