Okay, so the media has been hyping up the coming full lunar eclipse like crazy; it isn’t a simple eclipse, it’s a Blue Moon Blood Moon! This does make me laugh because the term Blood Moon has caught on like wildfire, harkening back to the old days when observers of a lunar eclipse reported the moon being the color of blood. Any total lunar eclipse brings that color, so there’s no need to get histrionic over it. That being said, a Blue Moon eclipse is pretty darned rare! As most of you know, the Blue Moon is the second full moon of the month and this one occurs in the sign of Leo. The Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio) will feel this eclipse most profoundly, along with the signs of Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius).
Eclipses bring about endings/clearing/changes over a period of six months so the full effects of this eclipse will be known in July. It will be interesting, to say the least! Other events of significance are the entrance of Mercury (thinking, communication, learning) into Aquarius on the same day as the eclipse. This bodes well for many because of this placement encourages wide distribution of information for the betterment of people’s lives. This will take place especially in the next three weeks, but the eclipse’s energy will carry it out over the next six months.
