Absurd spending redux: $30,000 to install a rather bizarre piece that, despite its Indigenous artisanship, looks more like a giant tourist trinket than anything in the actual canon of Native Peoples’ heritage?
Once again, in these challenging times, magical thinking has overtaken community need. Quite apart from the process of how the spending decision was made, would not have those funds have been better spent by the Port on more seasonal jobs for kids?
