Remembering Sandra Frinell

Remembering Sandra Frinell Sandra Frinell left peacefully to her heavenly home October 26,2024 after a brief illness. Sandra was born in Ketchikan, Alaska to Herb and Henrietta (Schneider) Schaub. Her large approach to life will be missed by many. Her journey will unite her with her husband Kim Frinell, with whom she shared many exciting years traveling and sailing.

Her strong love for Kim and her sons produced many stories of family trips and celebrations. Sandra is survived by her sons Sterling Frinell and Navy Commander Windsor Frinell, Windsor’s wife Heather Frinell and granddaughters Marlo Frinell and Karis Frinell. Sandra leaves many dear friends who are certain she is in the arms of Christ now. Her close friends Janet Bakker, Rosanne Ware, Linda McMahon, Michelle Loftus and many Bible Study Group Ladies will sorely miss Sandra’s passion and drive for beauty, style, flare and adventure. Wearing a belt buckle containing a functioning pistol was one example of her flare.

Sandra studied Interior Design at the University of Arizona. She served as Washington State GOP State Committee Woman promoting conservative values in San Juan County and Washington State. She was generous to many. She provided a place to stay, food, prayer and advice to those in need. She donated to many charities. Often Sandra would stop suddenly and urgently say “Let’s pray on this now.”

If you spent any time with Sandra, she was certain to ask if you had accepted Jesus as your Savior. She was never shy to express the urgency of this matter. She often quoted scripture, Charles Spurgeon and other Christian authors in providing spirited conversation of Jesus’ love for us. Rarely did anyone leave her presence without a “Look and Live” pamphlet. She gave them to friends and strangers. She left the pamphlets in restrooms, hotel rooms and on restaurant tables.

A visit with Sandra took one around the world with stories of European Air Shows (husband Kim had developed airplane wing tips for Boeing), sailing to Hawaii, remote fishing tours for celebrities and international CEOs at the family’s Ketchikan Resort and many parties of Seattle and Boeing elites. She spoke of seeing then Prince Charles riding in a convertible on an English country road where she received a genuine princely smile. The exciting and colorful stories were told with a backdrop of her beautiful garden, Christian hymns playing on her sound system and champagne.

She often spoke of her love for her parents, sons and granddaughters as a blessing from God. Her confidence of God’s grace was solid for herself, family and friends. She nursed her father, mother and her husband in their last days in her home. She also passed in her beautiful home surrounded by family and looking over her garden while hymns played. Sandra’s excitement to finish her race and see Jesus has been fulfilled. Her cheerful smile and sparkling beauty are surely tenfold in His presence. We look forward to joining her someday.
