The resident refused to cooperate and the deputies were forced to arrest the resident for trespassing 2nd degree and obstruction of law enforcement to remove him from the property. An Orcas Island deputy with the assistance of a community member apprehended a wanted fugitive in Eastsound. The fugitive resisted arrest, and a courageous citizen helped the deputy place the fugitive in custody. The fugitive received additional charges and subsequently booked into jail. Orcas Island deputies and Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle collision on Mt. Constitution Rd. The vehicle was on its side and no one operating the vehicle was found. The vehicle was taken for evidence and the incident was documented.
