Eight Wolverines to compete in regional wrestling meet Saturday

Senior Willy Dunn leads a squad of eight Wolverines competing in the Class 1A Regional Tournament Saturday at Bellevue Christian High School. The top three finishers of each class advance to the State Meet and the fourth-place finisher attends as an alternate.

The double-elimination regional competition begins at 10 a.m.

The Wolverines’ opening matches are:

120 - Xander Crichton vs. Josh Crager (Cascade Christian).

145 - Aiden Anderson vs. Mike Moniz (Orting).

152 - Tate Brumsickle vs. Jeff Seton (Port Townsend).

152 - Eli Baker vs. Canaan Elliott (Orting).

160 - Carson Brown vs. Brandon Griffiths (Cascade Christian).

170 - Sam Ibold vs. Shane Armstrong (Vashon Island).

182 - Dusty West vs. Brian Akers (Orting).

285 - Willy Dunn vs. Andrew Melot (Orting).
