FHHS golf team takes first at 2014 Opening Day Scramble

Friday Harbor High School golf team won the opening day tournament at the 2014 Opening Day Scramble at the San Juan Island Golf Club.

We were 8 under and won by 2 shots. The best part of the day was when we got to the last hole, I told the team they were going to have to play this one without me. We have our District tournament on the 15th and there will be no one there to hit the shots for you except yourself.

Big E, Jesse Kowolitz, drills a drive 260 down the middle, little Jess Hargrove hits 9 iron 20 feet from the cup and Cole Thomas lips out the birdie putt and has a tap in par.

It looks like I have three tough players who are ready to tee it up in the District Tournament. Maybe some of that positive attitude rubbed off on my players from our new team mate Tiger.
