Friday Harbor Wolverines experienced a hard fought and penalty plagued game in the first round of the 2019 Class 2B State Football Tournament Saturday, November 16 against Lake Roosevelt Raiders. Two fumbles and two interceptions resulted in a 19-14 win by the Raiders.
But what a GREAT season the Wolverines had over all as they finished as League Champions.

Wolverine Football, boys soccer and girls soccer all are headed home after their seasons ended Saturday, November 16 with defeats at the state playoffs. Friday Harbor High School's undefeated football team lost 19-14. Girls soccer lost 4-2 and boys soccer lost 5-1.
Friday Harbor’s opening-round contest in the Class 2B State Football Tournament at Lake Roosevelt High School at noon Saturday, Nov. 16 will be a battle of two dominating defenses: The Wolverines and the Raiders have both limited opponents to less than 10 points per game.
Friday Harbor's girls and boys state soccer matches are set for Saturday, Nov 16 at opposite ends of the state.The Wolverine girls play the Onalaska Loggers at 10 am at Centralia High School and the boys face St. George's High School at 11 am on the Dragons' home field in Spokane.
Friday Harbor’s football team will open the 2019 Class 2B State Tournament against Lake Roosevelt Friday, Nov. 15. The site and time are yet to be determined but the Raiders are the home team, so Wolverine fans will probably be traveling to the middle of the state.
Mount Vernon Christian defeated Friday Harbor 4-0 in the Bi-District Girls Soccer Championship at Sammamish High School Saturday, Nov. 9. The Wolverines advance as Bi-District’s second seed to the Class 1B/2B State Tournament. Friday Harbor will open state action against Onalaska — District No. 4’s top seed — next weekend.
Friday Harbor’s boys soccer team topped Evergreen Lutheran 4-1 in the 2019 Tri-District Tournament at Sammamish High School Saturday, Nov. 9. The Wolverines advance as the Tri-District’s No. 5 seed to the Class 1B/2B State Tournament and will face St. George’s -- the top seed from the Eastern Washington districts -- in the first round of state play next weekend.
