Friday Harbor baseball wraps up season tied for fifth in state

Rainier High School baseball team eliminated Friday Harbor in the quarterfinals of the Class 2B State Tournament in Yelm on Saturday, May 18. The Rams beat the Wolverines 11-0. The Wolverines will return home Sunday, May 19. 

In the first round of tourney play, Friday Harbor  beat Wahkiakum  5-3.  In the final inning, the  Mules had the bases loaded and scored one run before the Wolverines shut them down. 

Rainer beat Adna 8-7 in the first round. 

The Wolverines (14-2)had  advanced from Bi-Districts to the state tourney as the top seed from Districts 1 and 2.
