Rohnert Park, Ca. – The Pacific Fishery Management Council adopted ocean salmon season recommendations that provide recreational and commercial opportunities for most of the Pacific coast, and achieve conservation goals for the numerous individual salmon stocks on the West Coast. North of Cape Falcon, a large increase in hatchery coho over last year will provide a welcome increase in both recreational and commercial fishing opportunities.
Wolverine Coach Jack Rice says Spring Break provided the perfect opportunity for his players to play a practice round at the Gallery Golf Club in Oak Harbor. Four players took advantage of the opportunity to get a feel for the course.

Loomis Trail was purchased by the Lummi Nation within the last year. The Lummi High School is in the process of starting a new golf program. They have two young men learning to play the game now and they intend to build a strong program in years ahead. Owning a golf course should really jumpstart the program; it is a well designed course in very good condition.
Tuesday, March 26 there were six high school golf teams playing matches at the course. Friday Harbor experienced something a little different than their home course, the first four holes are so tight you have to walk single file down the fairway; at least that’s how it seemed to our golfers. It’s good experience for the team to get away from their home course once in awhile to get a different perspective on the game of golf.
We play Grace Academy on Thursday, March 28 at Cedar Park.
