Friday Harbor High School Girls Soccer team Coach Mark Fishaut is the Northwest 1A/2B Girls Soccer All-League Teams 2011 Coach of the Year. The Orcas Island High School girls soccer team earned the Sportsmanship Award. Eight Wolverines made the list and six Vikings.
Mark and Sharon Fishaut sent in two photos of recent fund raisers involving student athletes. "In a world seemingly spinning out of control, these young adults show there is plenty to be optimistic about for the future." they wrote.
Friday Harbor JV and Varsity Girls soccer teams (and campers) at the mini-soccer camp breast cancer fund raiser on October 8th benefiting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
The 2nd annual Resurrection Derby takes place at the Port of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island December 2 and 3, coinciding with the start of the winter salmon season. A maximum of four anglers in 100 boats will be competing for $15,000 in guaranteed prize money, including $10,000 for first place.

Lopez High School beat Lummi JV 36-12. Orcas Vikings beat Tacoma Baptist 12-8.

Friday Harbor lineman Willy Dunn realized a lineman's dream in his final high school football game Friday, Nov. 4: The senior picked off a pass and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown in the Wolverines' 40-38 non-league victory over visiting Vashon Island.
The Wolverines play their last home football game of the season this Friday, Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m. against Vashon Island High School. The early start time is to accommodate Vashon's travel as they need to catch ferries on both ends of their trip.
The Friday Harbor JV football homecoming game is at 4:30 p.m. Friday October 14. This is a different time than previously scheduled.
Donald Galt passed six yards for a touchdown, returned an interception 40 yards for another and scored a third on a 53-yard run as Friday Harbor beat visiting Lynden Christian 40-20 Friday, Sept. 30.
